Chelsea is a self-proclaimed Syrah fangirl. She has tasted more of it than most people ever will, she talks about it constantly, and she has very strong feelings about every expression of this grape on the planet. So naturally, we thought International Shiraz Day was the perfect time to put her to the test.
Here is the challenge: a blind tasting lineup of Syrah and Shiraz from around the world. One mission: find the Shiraz. Sounds simple. It is not. We stacked the deck, added some ringers, and made sure nothing about this is easy. For her or for you.
The whole room is playing along, which means Chelsea is not just racing the clock, she is racing everyone who walked through the door. Tie her score or beat her outright and there is a prize waiting for you. We are not going to tell you what it is. That would ruin the fun.
