From the Edge of the World | Drop-in Class

  • The Oenophile Institute 1295 W Spring St Smyrna, GA, 30080 United States (map)

Perfect for adventurous wine lovers, cool-climate enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to explore the frontier of fine wine.

Some of the most exciting wines in the world come from the places you'd least expect — wind-beaten coastlines, glacial valleys, and frost-prone hillsides barely warm enough to ripen grapes. In this drop-in class, we’ll taste through wines from the outer edges of the wine map: Tasmania, Patagonia, England, and New York’s Finger Lakes. Along the way, we’ll explore how extreme climates and marginal growing conditions produce wines with electric acidity, delicate structure, and a distinct sense of place.

90 minutes / $50 / 4 wines

  • Henner's Brut NV, England

    Devil's Cut Chardonnay, Tasmania

    Saurus Pinot Noir, Patagonia

Forge Cellars Cabernet Franc, Finger Lakes NY
