Perfect for curious wine lovers, Loire fans ready to branch out, and anyone hunting for their next “where has this been all my life?” bottle.
The Loire Valley is one of France’s most complex and diverse wine regions — a 600-mile stretch of vineyards producing everything from bone-dry whites to structured reds, and méthode traditionnelle sparklers. Yet many of its most distinctive styles fly under the radar outside of France. In this class, we’ll explore the wines that rarely make the headlines but define the region’s soul: saline, lees-aged Muscadet from the Atlantic coast; peppery, structured Cabernet Franc from Saumur; Sancerre’s least known neighbor Menou-Salon; and crushable Chenin Blanc from Anjou.
