This certification is designed for both wine industry professionals and enthusiasts who want to expand their knowledge. It offers a comprehensive understanding of grape cultivation and wine production for those who want to delve deeper into the world of wine.
While completion of WSET Level 2 Award in Wines prior to registering for WSET Level 3 Award in Wine is strongly recommended, it is not a prerequisite per WSET.
We do require any who wish to take Level 3 without previous WSET coursework to contact Chelsea to confirm preparedness and pervious knowledge for this advanced course.

Upon completion of WSET Level 3, you'll be able to:
Understand the key elements of wine production, including grape growing, location, winemaking, maturation, and bottling
Identify the distinguishing characteristics of still, sparkling, and fortified wines from different regions

To acquire this certification, a minimum of 84 hours* of study time is required, which includes:
30 hours of instruction time with a WSET course provider, either in a classroom or online.
54 hours of self-study and review.

Assessment: A 2.5 hour closed-book examination comprised of 50 multiple-choice questions, short written answer paper, and a blind tasting of 2 wines on Sunday, April 4th at 10:00am.
There will be an optional review and mock exam for no additional cost on Monday, March 29th at 6:00pm
