WSET Level 2 Award in Wines | 4 Week Intensive

Students must attend all of the following course dates:

  • Saturday, August 2nd 2025 10:00am - 2:30pm

  • Saturday, August 9th 2025 10:00am - 2:30pm

  • Saturday, August 16th 2025 10:00am - 2:30pm

  • Saturday, August 23rd 2025 10:00am - 4:00pm

Please note a 30 minute midday break will be given each day but lunch will not be supplied.

If you're seeking a deeper understanding of the world's wine styles and regions, WSET Level 2 offers an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge.

  • This course is designed to help you attain the following skills by the end of WSET Level 2:

    • Recognize the primary grape varieties cultivated globally and the different styles produced from them, including sparkling and fortified wine.

    • Interpret label information to comprehend a wine's quality and style.

    • Understand general wine cultivation and winemaking techniques.

    • Refine your tasting skills using WSET's Level 2 Systematic Approach to Wine Tasting (SAT).

  • To acquire this certification, a minimum of 29 hours of study time is required, which includes:

    • 17 hours of instruction time with a WSET course provider, either in a classroom or online.

    • 12 hours of self-study and review.

  • Assessment: A 1 hour closed-book examination comprised of 50 multiple-choice questions will be given on the final course day Saturday, August 23rd at approximately 2:30pm

Course materials may be picked up 1 week after registration at The Vineyard Wine Market during business hours or mailed to you for a small additional fee.
