• Saturday September 5th, 2026 10:00am - 5:00pm

• Sunday September 6th, 2026 10:00am - 5:00pm

• Monday September 7th, 2026 10:00am - 1:00pm (EXAM)

The Champagne Specialist Course from Comité Champagne offers an in-depth exploration into the world of Champagne, covering its rich history, unique terroir, production methods, and diverse styles. Participants gain specialized knowledge and skills essential for understanding and recommending one of the world's most renowned sparkling wines, recognized globally for its quality and heritage.

All candidates must complete the Level 2 of the Comite’s E-Learning program. This is no additional cost and takes about 90 minutes. You may not sit for the course exam if you have not completed this.

Course materials may be picked up during normal business hours or mailed to you for a small additional fee.

  • 12 hours with educator over 2 Days

  • 2 hour assessment on Day 3

  At least 7 hours of preparation is expected:

  Education: Introduction, tasting technique, food and Champagne pairing | Champagne Terroir

  Workshops: Perfect pairing | Champagne Game

  Tasting: 6 Champagne Wines

  Day 2:

  Education: Champenois Method, Recommending, serving & storage

  Workshops: The Cellar Master | The Wine Merchant

  Tasting: 6 Champagne Wines

  Day 3 Assessment: A 1 hour and 45 minute closed book exam will be held. This will include 30 multiple choice questions, 2 short answer questions, and tasting descriptors for 2 Champagne wines
